I hold a Bachelor's degree in English Linguistics from the University of Guam and a Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Emerson College. My professional journey began in Guam, where I taught CHamoru language and culture to elementary school students. After relocating, I taught English and CHamoru online before being accepted into Emerson College's Communication Sciences & Disorders program.
After completing the program, I spent time providing speech & language services to students from Pre-K through high school—an experience that sparked my passion for supporting neurodivergent learners in developing their voices and navigating social-cognitive challenges. I maintain certification with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and am licensed to practice in Massachusetts and California.
Being born and raised on Guam gave me the fortune of growing up alongside a variety of languages and cultures while cultivating core values of language, identity, and connection. These passions have enabled me to connect with clients and families with a wide variety of backgrounds while providing client- and family- centered services. My academic and professional experiences as a speech-language pathologist (SLP) deepened this understanding through evidence-based training in communication sciences and disorders, preparing me to serve individuals across the lifespan.
Currently, I work with adult to geriatric patients experiencing dysphagia and cognitive-linguistic challenges, while also seeing younger clients for language disorders and stuttering. These diverse clinical experiences continue to reinforce my belief in personalized, culturally responsive, and client-centered care. I strive to create an affirming, collaborative space where individuals feel heard, supported, and empowered to communicate in ways that are meaningful to them.
I am so happy you're here!
